VINTAGE  CHILD'S  KNIT SWEATER
From the early to mid 1960's
(over 55 years old).
White with black and blue trim
(at the neckline, cuffs, and hem).
Long sleeve, warm pull-over, V neck sweater
.
Not sure of the material and there are no labels or tags.
Believed to have worn by a
3 or 4 year old child
(it all depends on the size of the child of course; please see the measurements below).
Measurements
(when the sweater is laid out flat):
Length
: Total length measures
about
15”
from the top of the collar to the bottom of the waist hem.
Width
: Approximately
13” from underarm to underarm
(across the chest). Measures about 11” across the shoulders.
The
sleeves measure about 11"
from the shoulder to the end of the cuff (9" from underarm to cuff's end).
The
V
in the neck is
approximately 3-1/2"
(from top of collar to point in the V).
The opening at the bottom hem is about 8" (cuff openings are approximately 3").
Has been worn / used, but in really nice shape for it's age
(
it's still bright and doesn't look old
). There is light wear and some tiny "pills" / minor frays along the edge (definitely not bad). Maybe a slight odor from mothballs, but very mild. From a smoke free home.
