    THIS GREAT SEAL of the UNITES STATES, U.S. MINT BRONZE MEDAL is: approximately 63 mm in diameter, 6mm thick, approximately 4.44 ounces or 126 grams in weight and has a smooth edge.
    It was engraved by Charles Barber, chief engraver of the U.S. Mint at the time. The Great Seal was designed by a committee, which included Benjamin Franklin. In 1782-1882 the U.S. Mint issued a bronze commemorative medal to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the seal
