    Beautifully engraved antique stock certificate from the Dexter & Northern Railroad Co. dating back to the early 1900's. This document was printed by Goes and measures approximately 11" (w) by 8 1/4" (h).
    The vignette features a female allegory with a shield and a wreath.

    Historical Context
    The Dexter & Northern Railroad was a small standard gauge short line that ran in Dexter, Jefferson County, New York. Its two miles of track serviced the Emporium Forestry Company.
    The line was incorporated in 1908, with the first shares of stock being issued on February 14, 1910.
